Ungrateful TotsTOP NEWS: August 02, 2013 – Lima, Ohio – Local gang, “The Ingrates” plans to “not be very thankful” on Thanksgiving.

Sources close to the duo claim that the pair plans to scoff, when their parents ask them to sit down to dinner during the annual late November, Thursday afternoon tradition, and add that any potential, parental-aimed sneering, may or may not be accompanied by an equally unappreciative, mocking and disrespectful hand gesture.

Reportedly, one of the young thugs, Tommy ‘Suckerstick’ Orpheus, texted “Pilgrims r stupid u no?”  to a fellow gang member, his older and slightly more unruly brother, Todd.  Allegedly, the older brother texted back with “Tru dat” and added “Punkin pie sux.”

Curiously enough, neither of the boys seemed to have any anticipation for the ensuing start of the Christmas Season, and surprisingly seem to have absolutely no interest in spreading tidings of joy or good cheer either. However, at least as of now, the pair does plan to participate in the opening of gifts when Christmas day rolls around on December 25, 2013, and added, “And there better be an X-Box or PS4 under the tree or Mom & Pop will be sorry.”

When asked what they would do as an alternate source of entertainment on Thanksgiving afternoon, the twosome said they had tentative plans to “maybe skateboard at the mall” and might possibly “sit on the dumpster wall at the convenience store and throw peach pits at cars.” – Liora Jynx

A new Cheerios commercial that  included an interracial family drew so many racially motivated hate comments on YouTube that the video-sharing website had to shut down the commercial’s comment section. The ad, which debuted on Tuesday, shows a biracial child asking her white mother whether Cheerios are good for the heart, and then cuts to a shot of the child’s black father waking up from a nap… with Cheerios spread all over his chest. But the lighthearted spot touting  Cheerios’ potential health benefits was eclipsed by thousands of comments left on its YouTube page this week. The comments section has now been disabled, but AdWeek reported that some of the comments made reference to Nazis, “racial genocide” and people vowing never to buy Cheerios again. General Mills, the company who introduced Cheerios in 1941, said the ad had been well-received despite the YouTube comments. Speaking of 1941, it called, and it wants it’s ignorant racist bigots back.

In a highly anticipated vote on Thursday, The Boy Scouts of America lifted its ban on gay youth, in a move tantamount to the shift in American attitudes toward gays and lesbians. The resolution was adopted with more than 60% of the vote, and the new policy will take effect on January first. “Today’s vote ending discrimination of gay scouts is truly an historic moment,” said Zach Wahls, an Iowa Eagle Scout raised by lesbian mothers who founded Scouts for Equality. “It demonstrates the Boy Scouts of America’s commitment to creating a more inclusive organization.” In that effort, although the gay community did not get everything they’d hoped for, seeing as how the proposed change to allow gay adult leaders did not pass, the Boy Scouts Organization is at least expected, to create new merit Badges for decorating, shoe shopping, and a proficiency for quoting Judy Garland.
