SU YUNG SMAG’s NOVEMBER 2016 AMAZING GAL OF THE MONTH
Sure, we get it. In America at least, November is more about looking forward to feasting on Thanksgiving, and all of the ensuing madness that is Black Friday twenty-four hours later. But whether or not you actually choose to go shopping on the fourth Thursday this month, or protest it and wait until the day after, few can argue that the first day of November is really more about “the day after” Halloween. So we here at Smartasses Magazine figured, who better to feature as our post-Halloween and November 2016 Amazing Gal of the Month than The Undead Bride herself, the glorious wrestler and occasional cosplayer, Su Yung.
One of Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Top 50 Females of 2014, there is no doubt that this captivating cancer brings kray-kray skills to the squared circle, any time she graces us all by stepping her signature red & black kick pads through its daunted ropes, and as most of you know, the Palehorse Lucha is also a three-timer to our magazine’s annual Top 100 Sexiest Women Alive. Once described as Olivia Munn meets Teen Wolf’s Benita Robledo, we feel that what makes Su the endearing deity that she is, aside of her drool-worthy eyes, rich & warm skin tone and perfect, callipygian exterior– all which prove yet again that the most beautiful women alive hail from the Pacific Northwest– is her singular wit, effervescent charm, down-to-earth approachability, her undeniably insane love of all things geek, and being an absolute beacon of female empowerment. Collectively, this absolute bevy of resplendent things fill the proverbial non-deplorable basket of reasons why Miss November is sorely missed as the co-host of Smartasses Radio, and quite frankly, Miss Yung is the con-Su-mmate icon for everything that represents the quintessential Smartasses Magazine woman. In ancient times, the Greeks deified Alexander the Great. In 2012, we named Avril Lavigne a god and in March of 2015, we dubbed Briana Garcia the same. Make no mistake folks, the Last Valkyrie is most assuredly next in line. If you ever needed an excuse to watch independent wrestling, this PW2.0 Women’s Champion is the one.
With the aforementioned in mind, seeing as how we haven’t sat down with the beautiful & deadly Su since January 2013, we figured it was time to catch up.
Smartasses: You’re obviously missed as the co-host of Smartasses Radio, and you’ve also stopped being a Demarcette on the Greg DeMarco Show. What’s keeping you so busy?
Su: Wrestling and traveling.
Smartasses: What are some of the best places you’ve traveled to?
Su: Japan, China, various places in the US.
Smartasses: We realize it’s not yet been revealed as to why good girl Su Yung turned into the Undead Bloody Bride. Why is it that, despite how she is designed to be the absolute scariest woman on the planet, so many people get the opposite effect, and find her to be indescribably hypnotic, sexy and enthralling?
Su: I would not consider blood to be sexy. I think the more people use their heads and look into things deeply, the levels of growth they choose to absorb makes them more understanding humans.
Smartasses: Your attitude seems to have changed a little in real life too. You don’t seem to be as tolerant of other people’s B.S?
Smartasses: You once said that “Pushy and needy people sort of get on my nerves” yet other women in articles we have done have expressed the sentiment, the more you stand up for yourself, the more people will fall in line. Have you found this to be true, and if so, are more “annoying” people revealing themselves?
Su: I tend to keep off the grid now. Too much mainstream. Not enough free flowing streams.
Smartasses: Four years ago you said, “I believe in an age of equal opportunity, where girls can do what the boys do.” What would be your message of female empowerment today?
Su: Watch. Listen. Grow. Learn. Live.
Smartasses: Finally, we know you’re a big Seattle Seahawks fan. What’s wrong with the ‘Hawks this year?
Su: We are from Washington State where the strange happens.
